Alongside the North European port association’s AGM and regional member's meetings, a full day conference takes place on May 7 with Capt. Michael McCarthy, chairman Cruise Europe introducing a line up of speakers including: John Tercek vp commercial development, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines; Steve Masters marine operations manager, Disney Cruise Lines; Tom Spina director port finance & analysis, Norwegian Cruise Lines; Paolo Benini, captain of Costa Pacifica, (whose vessel is visiting Riga during the conference); Mary Shaw Delaney director shoreside services, Silversea Cruises, Shirley Henderson manager - shore excursions, Carnival UK and Harald von der Osten-Sacken vp destination management, AIDA Cruises.
On May 8, participants have the opportunity to tour the Baltic city and explore the main architectural sights, visit the magical Old Town, the elegant Art Nouveau district, the old warehouse area, Central Riga and the wooden architecture area Kipsala.
