Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. double: Mariner of the Seas (right), Celebrity Solstice (left) berthed at Marina Bay Cruise Centre
Today was a busy day for Royal Caribbean in Singapore with two ships berthed at Marina Bay Cruise Centre.

On one side of the terminal was Mariner of the Seas, into the second week of its scheduled 41 sailings. There were some 3,700 passengers to process for Mariner of the Seas' four-night itinerary north to Malaysia and Thailand. They included 2,631 Singaporeans, 424 Malaysians and 287 Indian nationals.

Ovation of the Seas and Voyager of the Seas are back in Southeast Asia from October to May. With these deployments—Royal Caribbean International’s longest homeporting season in Singapore—the three ships alone will increase the line's Southeast Asia capacity in 2017 by 30% over 2016.

On the other side of the cruise terminal Monday was Celebrity Solstice, fresh out of drydock in Singapore. Some 3,000 passengers, predominantly Australians, embarked the vessel which is sailing south to Sydney for an Australian season, stopping in Indonesia along the way.

Celebrity Millennium will arrive in Singapore in mid-November for her Southeast Asia season, while Celebrity Constellation will call in January.
