Serbia to Rotterdam to Romania to Linz
AmaMagna first made an ocean trip from its Serbian shipyard to Rotterdam for outfitting with luxurious furnishings and various contemporary design elements. The vessel has just completed a 17-day return ocean voyage into Constanta, Romania, and is cruising the Danube to its winter home in Linz, Austria, to join several other AmaWaterways vessels before the 2019 spring sailing season.
First cruise May 5
AmaMagna will receive final finishing touches before embarking on seven-night Danube cruises between Vilshofen, Germany, and Budapest starting May 5.
'We first had the vision for AmaMagna nearly seven years ago. Like the ship herself, her construction journey has been a one-of-a-kind experience and we are so pleased to be wrapping up the final details, prepaing for her May debut,' said Rudi Schreiner, president and co-owner of AmaWaterways.
Spacious accommodations
AmaMagna provides more personal space with most staterooms comparable to ocean cruise ship suites, measuring between 355 square feet and 710 square feet. In addition, two dining venues—Jimmy’s, family-style dining named for AmaWaterways’ late co-founder Jimmy Murphy, and the Al Fresco restaurant, with retractable ceiling and windows—complement the main restaurant and the Chef’s Table restaurant.
Additional features include a Sun Deck with a heated swimming pool, an expansive Zen Wellness Studio with massage, hair and nail salon services and an innovative Water Sports Platform. In addition, new Vow Renewal and Golf Concierage Programs are offered.
A robust complementary daily excursion program including escorted hiking and biking tours and group fitness classes led by a trained Wellness Host gives travelers the ability to personalize their river cruise experience.
