Home-based travel agencies Dream Vacations, CruiseOne and Cruises Inc. hosted a christening ceremony—in a nod to cruise tradition—to celebrate the unveiling of their renovated corporate headquarters in Fort Lauderdale.

In addition to a champagne toast and ceremony dedicating the office to the companies' agents, the corporate employees who support them, customers and cruise line partners, Melissa Coningsby from the City of Fort Lauderdale was on hand to deliver a proclamation declaring June 4 as 'Live Your Dream Day.'

IT team doubles in size

'This year we literally knocked down walls to accommodate doubling the size of our IT team and, in the process, renovated the entire office and brought the world of travel to our workspace, thanks to the support of our travel partners,' said Debbie Fiorino, SVP, Dream Vacations, CruiseOne and Cruises Inc.

User interface web developer Ashlee Campbell oversaw the office transformation. Walls and pillars are now adorned with travel-themed quotes and passport stamps, an interactive world map lets employees pin their dream vacation, and conference room windows showcase scenery from the destination each room is named after.

Spaces named for cruise lines

Various cruise lines sponsored select walls and rooms, including the Royal Caribbean Learning Center; Celebrity Cruises kitchen, complete with a martini bar; the Carnival Cruise Line fun kitchen, Princess Cruises hallway with a TV monitor showcasing their exotic voyages and the Norwegian Cruise Line corridor.
