Engine repairs slow Empress of the Seas

Engine repairs slow Empress of the Seas
Empress of the Seas, which re-entered service in late May following a $50m renovation, is experiencing a technical issue with one of the ship's engines.

As the engineering team works to repair the issue, the ship is sailing at a reduced speed that required the itinerary to be modified.

Empress of the Seas called at Nassau on Sunday and CocoCay on Monday. Wednesday's Key West visit is to go ahead as scheduled.

Royal Caribbean International is providing each stateroom with an on-board credit in the amount of 10% of the cruise fare paid.
