Excursions Ltd teams with Destination South West

Excursions Ltd, Seatrade Insider’s Innovative Shorex Award winner 2014, has been welcomed as a new member to the UK’s long established southwest regional marketing initiative.

Destination South West, formed to market the southwest of England as a destination to the cruise industry, incorporates ports, tourism attractions and service providers throughout the region. Member ports stretch from Dorset to the Isles of Scilly.

'We are constantly looking to expand our membership within the region and further promote our destination and its attractions to the cruise industry. Excursions Ltd brings an additional layer of experience and connections to the group and we are delighted to add this award-winning company to our impressive list,' Destination South West chairman Mike Reynolds said.

'The glorious southwest of England is often overlooked—ships being in a hurry to reach destinations further up the coast. However, those that visit are delighted by what they encounter,' said Rupert Woodard, md of Excursions Ltd. He described the region as 'brimming with tourism gems, wildlife, myths and legends, rich in tradition and yet oozing cosmopolitan appeal.'

Woodard added Excursions Ltd's goal is to help Destination South West 'spread the good news about the region and its attractions. We are delighted to have been invited to participate in this excellent initiative.'

Destination South West will exhibit at Cruise Shipping Miami, in the Cruise Britain aisle.
