FCCA moves into expanded office to meet expanded scope

The Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association has just moved into its new office in Miramar, Florida, which has more than double the space to accommodate its growing operations.

In recent years, the FCCA took on official responsibility for Latin America as well as the Caribbean, and the association's Platinum Membership program grew 50% and reached its limit, with a waiting list.

The FCCA also partnered with Cruise Lines International Association to publish 'the official magazine of the global cruise industry' and the association took its event participation overseas as a supporter and exhibitor at Seatrade Cruise Europe and the upcoming Seatrade Cruise Med in Lisbon.

Space for Platinum Members' use

In choosing its new office, the FCCA kept in mind how to make its members and executives more comfortable and productive when they attend meetings. This resulted in a grand boardroom with a custom table to fit as many seats as possible for meetings, including the monthly Operations Committee meetings and ad hoc meetings prompted by members and member lines. Adequate parking for visitors was a priority, and now the FCCA can even provide office space for Platinum Members' use during their visits.

Business and pleasure

The new office will host networking events for members and executives.

'And, in keeping with our usual balance of business and fun, we have a few tricks up our sleeves sure to engage visiting executives and members,' said Justin Paige, director, corporate communications & strategic marketing partnerships. (Hmmm ... Could there potentially be a ping-pong table, for a rematch or two between Platinum Members and FCCA chairman Adam Goldstein?)

New internship program

Plus, Paige said there is growing room at the new office, which the FCCA is taking advantage of by starting an internship program in areas such as marketing, communications, journalism and/or graphic design.

The FCCA had been in its previous location in Pembroke Pines since 1999.

The new location is in Miramar Commerce Park. The address is 10390 USA Today Way, Miramar, FL 33025. The telephone and fax numbers remain the same: 1-954-441-8881 (phone) and +1-954-441-3171 (fax).
