The ex-Newcastle cruise season will extend from April to June, then the ship will reposition to Rosyth before returning to Newcastle from August to October, and then undertaking a further two departures next March.
‘Balmoral will be operating a record 16 departures from Newcastle in 2019/20, an increase on the 15 that we offered in 2018/19’, said Clare Ward, director of product and customer service for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines.
Five-night Norwegian Fjords cruise
A second itinerary on Balmoral’s ex-Newcastle 2019/20 sailings includes a five-night Norwegian Fjords cruise departing August 23. Prices start from £649 per person.
Departing from Newcastle, Balmoral will cruise to Lysefjord, Eidfjord and Hardangerfjord. Before making its return, the ship will cruise Ulvikafjord and Hardangerfjord with a city call highlight to Bergen, then back to Newcastle.
11-night France, Spain & Portugal’ cruise
Balmoral will also depart on an 11-night France, Spain & Portugal cruise August 28.
Leaving from Newcastle, the vessel will make city calls to La Coruňa, Vigo, Lisbon, Oporto and Lorient before returning to Newcastle.
A 12-night Baltic cruise
A 12-night Baltic cruise departs from Newcastle October 6. Prices start from £1,499 per person.
Travelling from Newcastle, city stops include Copenhagen, Helsinki and St Petersburg, with an overnight stay in Russia among the highlights. Further calls are at Tallinn and Oslo before arriving back in Newcastle.
