The schedule will continue to feature 'Dancing with the Stars: At Sea' programming on all sailings in addition to six theme cruises highlighting the show's professional dancers and celebrities.
In 2013 and 2014 select theme cruises featured professional dancers Tristan MacManus, Kym Johnson, Sharna Burgess, Emma Slater, Lacey Schwimmer, Chelsie Hightower, Mark Ballas and Derek Hough, along with television personality Carson Kressley, singer Joey Fatone, actress Sabrina Bryan and Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson.
HAL's Rick Meadows, evp sales, marketing and guest programs, said the 'Dancing with the Stars: At Sea' lessons are a huge draw on every cruise and the competition for the Champions Cruise is intense, 'which tells us we have a very successful and engaging program.'
The 'Dancing with the Stars: At Sea' theme cruises for 2015 are Westerdam's Jan. 3 and Jan. 10 eastern Caribbean sailings round-trip Fort Lauderdale, Veendam's June 6 Bermuda cruise round-trip Boston and Veendam's June 13 Canada/New England cruise from Boston to Montréal. 2016 cruises are Nieuw Amsterdam's Jan. 3 eastern Caribbean sailing round-trip Fort Lauderdale and the Champions Cruise on Jan. 10, a western Caribbean itinerary also aboard Nieuw Amsterdam.
Each theme cruise features guest performances by the professional dancers and celebrities, dance lessons with the ship's professional dancers, a fashion show of glamorous costumes and a chance to meet the dance pros and celebrities, ask questions and take photos with them. Celebrities and professional dancers for 2015 will be announced in the coming weeks.
