The biggest passenger day was October 16, 2015 with approximately 10,000 passengers. This was the first full year in which shore power was available to properly equipped cruise vessels calling on Halifax. In 2015, 17 shore power connections were made.
'This was a good, steady season for cruise in Halifax,' said Cathy McGrail, director of cruise development and corporate affairs, Halifax Port Authority.
A recent economic impact study found the cruise industry in Halifax contributes approximately $104m in economic benefit for the local economy.
