House bill would lift US trade embargo on Cuba

House bill would lift US trade embargo on Cuba
Rep. Bobby Rush, a Democrat from Illinois, introduced the 'United States-Cuba Normalization Act of 2015' that would lift the embargo on Cuba and includes provisions related to travel.

H.R. 274 would allow travel to and from Cuba by US citizens or residents, and any transactions ordinarily incident to such travel, along with normal banking transactions involving foreign currency drafts, traveler’s checks or other negotiable instruments incident to such travel.

The bill was referred to the Committee on Foreign Affairs and, in addition, to the committees on Ways and Means, Energy and Commerce, the Judiciary, Financial Services, Oversight and Government Reform, and Agriculture.
