Cruise line shore excursion executives visiting Iceland on a fam trip last week got into the spirit of a 30 day social media campaign launched by Iceland Travel and linked to an upcoming live concert by popular Welsh vocalist Sir Tom Jones.

Liz Gammon, manager of shore excursions and cruise services at Iceland Travel is currently travelling around Iceland with a lifesize cardboard cut-out of Jones encouraging locals and visitors to have their picture taken and share something on social that they like about Iceland.

‘Tom Jones is performing a live concert in Reykjavik on June 8 in my adopted home of Iceland to celebrate his 75th birthday, the day before,' gammon explained. 'He is my idol and fellow Welshman so hopefully when this adventure is all over Tom will have thirty great reasons to love Iceland as much as I do,  and I’ll be able to live out a lifelong dream and say that … #IMetTominIceland,' she added.
