Liz Gammon has been appointed general manager of TVG Travel. This new division of TVG Zimsen, daughter company of Eimskip, specialised in worldwide freight forwarding services and owner of port agency Gára, is dedicated to servicing cruise ships and luxury yachts at Icelandic ports.

Reykjavik-based TVG Zimsen offers services ranging from passenger turnaround services, pier side porterage, luggage scanning, immigration formalities to provisions, water, spare parts, bunkering, waste and sludge disposal, repairs and divers.

Growing the range of services for the cruise sector

Björn Einarsson, managing director of TVG Zimsen, told Seatrade Cruise News, ‘Starting TVG Travel was a logical next step for us in order to grow our already extensive range of specialised services to the cruise industry.’

The focus of the new arm, headed by Gammon, will be on providing sustainable, innovative land programmes for small to mid-size vessels including the expedition and luxury yacht sector, he highlighted.

‘We are delighted to have Liz Gammon on board as TVG Travel‘s general manager and have no doubt that her wealth of industry knowledge, coupled with TVG Zimsen‘s logistical expertise, will provide us with a solid base from which to grow our travel brand,' remarked Einarsson.
