Mercy Ships has provided its 100,000th free, life-transforming surgery.

A 7-month-old girl girl's debilitating cleft lip was fixed in the operation by international Mercy Ships medical volunteers.

Thousands treated in Guinea since August

Little Aissata traveled with her mother nearly 200 miles to receive the surgery on hospital ship Africa Mercy, which has provided free care to more than 2,100 people in Guinea since arriving in August last year.

Mercy Ships is the charitable partner of Seatrade Cruise Europe, set for Sept. 11-13 in Hamburg.
