Cruise industry trends, regional affairs and networking are on the agenda for the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association's annual cruise summit for its Platinum Members.

A group of more than 250—including Platinum Members representing some of the top regional stakeholders, along with their guests—are scheduled to sail aboard MSC Seaside in the Caribbean, Jan. 19-25.

The PAMAC Cruise Summit provides ample networking opportunities in one-to-one meetings, evening receptions and dinners.

Cruise executive panel and presentations

A panel of FCCA member line executives will field audience questions. The panel includes Russell Daya, executive director, marine & port operations, port development & itinerary planning, Disney Cruise Line; Albino Di Lorenzo, VP cruise operations, MSC Cruises USA and FCCA Operations Committee chairman; Andre Pousada, associate VP, government relations, Latin America & Caribbean, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.; Carlos Estrada, director, commercial homeport operations, Carnival Cruise Line; and FCCA president Michele Paige.

Additionally, Pousada will speak about how creating great guest experiences begins with partnerships. Plus, FCCA SVP Adam Ceserano will discuss working with the cruise industry on a norovirus plan, prevention and response.

Shore excursions

PAMAC Cruise Summit attendees will get to take part in excursions, from flyboarding to food tours in St. Thomas, a boat and snorkeling excursion in St. Maarten and a day at Nassau's Blue Lagoon Island so attendees can better understand the cruise product and destination experience from a passenger's perspective.

'FCCA Platinum Membership events like the PAMAC Cruise Summit are essential to both the members and cruise line representatives,' said Micky Arison, chairman, FCCA and Carnival Corp. & plc. 'They join some of the industry's most influential decision-makers with significant stakeholders from the Caribbean and Latin America, which leads to positive developments for all parties.'

'We cannot be prouder to offer events like these to foster mutual growth for Platinum Members and member line executives,' Paige added. 'Bringing together these two vital entities in a comfortable setting lets them better understand not only the latest happenings and offerings, but also each other, which has proven to be one of the best ways to synergistically grow and improve.'
