More than 500,000 visitors partied over the weekend in Hamburg during the 7th Hamburg Cruise Days. With a record number of 12 ships participating, the event is the world’s biggest public cruise festival.

Five ships in Cruise Days Parade

The spectacular Hamburg Cruise Days Parade was again the highlight of the event. On Saturday night, accompanied by 20 escort ships and a large fireworks display, five cruise ships made their way down the Elbe River.

This year AIDAperla, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ Europa, TUI Cruises’ Mein Schiff 4, MSC Preziosa and Nicko Cruises’ World Explorer were the main actors using the Port of Hamburg as their stage.

New B2B element, sustainability focus

The event introduced a new B2B program and cruise industry sustainability was a key focus.

Immediately prior to this public event, Hamburg hosted Seatrade Europe, the leading cruise industry fair in Europe, which chalked up record attendance this year.
