CEO Jill Abel said 14 delegates, including chairman Stephen Bradford, will attend the conference in Florida and some will go on to Seattle and Los Angeles for meetings with cruise lines and travel agent training.
Abel said the team will also host a webinar for Tourism Australia’s Aussie Specialists in North America.
‘2016 has been another exciting year for our industry and our association as we increased our membership and celebrated with our 20th anniversary conference in Sydney,’ she said.
‘We are looking forward to having discussions with cruise line partners around how we as an association ensure that the passenger experience ashore complements the experience on board the ship so that cruising to and around Australia remains a No. 1 option for international travellers.’
She said the traditional barbecue hosted by the Australian Cruise Association and Cruise New Zealand, to be held from 3-5 p.m. on March 15, will show attendees at Seatrade Cruise Global ‘what Australian-Pacific hospitality looks like.’
