New cruise terminal for Port Louis, Mauritius

New cruise terminal will be located on a 25-hectare site
Mauritius Port Authority is proceeding with the construction of a 7,500sq mtr dedicated cruise terminal at Port Louis which will be capable of accommodating up to 4,000 passengers.

A dedicated cruise pier has been operational at Port Louis’ Les Salines since 2009 that is able to take vessels up to 276mtr.

Due for completion in mid-2020

Work on the new building, designed by Miami-based Bermello Ajamil & Partners, is scheduled to start in April 2019 and completion is expected by July 2020.

It is also planned to use this facility to handle all inter-island traffic.                      

The cruise terminal will be located on a 25-hectare site and the remaining area will be developed under the Les Salines Ocean World theme by Landscope (Mauritius) Ltd.
