This onboard information system provides passengers with route and ship relevant information designed to enhance the guests’ travel experience.
It used 3D graphics to take the passenger on a virtual experience designed to both inform and entertain. Realtime 3D animations of the cruise ship are embedded in to a digital map creating a visual satellite image reflective of the exact current location.
Using multiple camera perspectives, view angles and zoom levels, the dynamic animation shapes the visual experience for the user.
Used as a TV Channel in passenger cabins or on touch screens positioned around the ship, VX Cruise provides access to real-time ship situational information such as position, speed, planned route, estimated arrival times, points of interest and onboard activities. Booking options, reservations or information on future trips can also be integrated.
