Travelers can head deep into the Canadian Rockies and travel the lush coast of Canada on a new pre-cruise journey
A new Seabourn pre-cruise land program to western Canada during the 2019 Alaska season combines Banff National Park and the scenic Rocky Mountaineer rail journey. Travelers will experience the grandeur of the Canadian Rockies and breathtaking Banff, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with picturesque Lake Louise.

Available with select Seabourn Sojourn departures, the seven-day program includes two days on one of the world’s most spectacular rail journeys in a luxury, glass-domed coach. First-rate hotels and restaurants are included.

Participants will take a scenic drive by premium motor coach through the Canadian Rockies to Banff, with sights along the way including Hoodoos rock formations, Tunnel Mountain Drive and Surprise Corner, where views suddenly open up into picture-postcard-worthy perspectives on Banff.

Plus, Yoho's Emerald Lake

They'll discover Banff and Yoho national parks on a full-day guided tour to destinations such as Lake Louise, Takakkaw Falls, Spiral Tunnels in Kicking Horse Pass and strikingly shaded Emerald Lake, the largest of Yoho’s 61 lakes and ponds.

A Seabourn Journey escort can help participants plan a day of touring on their own in Banff with possibilities including upscale shopping on Banff Avenue, the Banff Museum and soaking in famous hot mineral springs.

GoldLeaf Service

The journey continues deep into the heart of the Canadian Rockies with two days of scenic canyons, valleys and the lush coast of British Columbia aboard Rocky Mountaineer. Travelers get spacious seating in the bi-level, glass-domed GoldLeaf Service coach with historic storytelling from attentive hosts.

The package is available with the June 7 and Aug. 20 11-day sailings from Vancouver, BC, to Seward, and the July 2 and Sept. 14 12-day round-trips from Vancouver.

Also available: a Denali add-on

In addition, travelers can explore Alaska in greater depth with the 'Denali Experience,' available before or after select voyages. This five-day, fully escorted, custom-designed land adventure includes soaring above glaciers in a flightseeing plane and the chance to spot grizzly and black bears, wolves, moose and caribou in Denali National Park.

Seabourn’s 2019 Alaska and British Columbia season includes a series of 11-, 12- and 14-day voyages between June and October.
