Since 2011, Ferraz has led the 'Visa Waiver Now' movement, which seeks to inform Brazilian and US authorities about the need to relax visa requirements between the two countries.
'In addition to his tourism industry experience, Marco has valuable skills in communications, government relations and engaging and leading multiple stakeholders,' said Christine Duffy, president and ceo of Cruise Lines International Association.
Duffy added that she looks forward to working with Ferraz to expand the cruise industry’s presence in Brazil.
