Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings appoints two directors

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings increased its board of directors to 11 with the appointment of banker Chad Leat and real estate developer Russell Galbut.

Leat was vice chairman of global banking at Citigroup until 2013 and earlier held various other Citigroup roles. Previous positions were with Salomon Brothers and Chase Manhattan Group Corp.

Galbut is md of the Crescent Heights Companies, a national real estate development firm. He was a director for Prestige Cruises, now part of NCLH.

The company said both qualify as independent directors under Securities and Exchange Commission and NASDAQ regulations.

The NCLH board appointed Leat to the audit committee, which he will chair. Other members are Walter Revell, John Chidsey and F. Robert Salerno.

Galbut replaces Salerno on the compensation committee. The committee is chaired by Steve Martinez and Chidsey is a member.

Other directors include Frank Del Rio, Adam Aron, Kevin Crowe, David Abrams and Karl Peterson.
