Further, Norwegian Spirit, which will undergo an extensive multimillion-dollar revitalization in early 2020, will sail a variety of port-intensive itineraries from Tokyo and Hong Kong. And Norwegian Jewel will cruise in French Polynesia, Hawaii and the South Pacific in spring 2020 and spring 2021.
These moves highlight select 2020 and 2021 itineraries opened for sale today by Norwegian Cruise Line.
Alaska
Norwegian Bliss, which launched last year, will be joined in Seattle this year and next by Norwegian Joy and in 2021 by the soon-to-debut Norwegian Encore. Norwegian Bliss will call at Juneau, Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point and Victoria, BC, beginning April 24, 2021. (The first visit to Icy Strait Point will be on May 12.)
Norwegian Encore will commence Alaska sailings May 2, 2021, visiting Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan and Victoria, plus Glacier Bay.
Norwegian Joy will visit Juneau, Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point and Victoria from April to October 2020.
Beginning May 10, 2021, Norwegian Jewel returns to Vancouver, BC, and Seward, for seven-day Glacier Bay northbound and Inside Passage itineraries.
Caribbean
As of April 13, 2021, Norwegian Breakaway will cruise a mix of five-, seven- and nine-day Eastern, Western and Southern Caribbean cruises from Miami. The eastern route visits to Puerto Plata, St. Thomas, Tortola and Great Stirrup Cay, while the western includes Roatán, Costa Maya, Cozumel and Harvest Caye (Belize). Norwegian Breakaway’s Southern Caribbean cruises will visit Aruba, Curaçao, Bonaire and Puerto Plata.
Bermuda, Canada/New England
Beginning April 14, 2021, Norwegian Joy will homeport in New York City for the first time, sailing a mix of Bermuda as well as Canada/New England cruises. Seven-day Bermuda sailings will provide three full days to explore the island, while five-day Canada/New England voyages will feature visits to Portland, Maine, and Halifax, Nova Scotia.
From April 18, 2021, Norwegian Gem will sail a mix of seven-day Bermuda cruises from Boston and seven-day Canada/New England cruises from Boston and Québec City. Ports include Bar Harbor and Portland, Maine; Halifax and Sydney, Nova Scotia; Saguenay, Québec; and Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
Following Caribbean cruises from Miami, on Aug. 24, 2021, Norwegian Breakaway will sail seven-day Canada/New England cruises from New York to Bar Harbor, Portland, Halifax and Saint John (New Brunswick).
Europe
On April 25, 2021, Norwegian Epic will return to Europe for weekly cruises from Barcelona and Civitavecchia (Rome) with calls at Naples, Livorno, Cannes and Palma de Mallorca.
Beginning May 2, 2021, Norwegian Dawn will once again cruise the Greek Isles from Venice on seven-day sailings that visit Kotor, Montenegro; Dubrovnik, Croatia; and Corfu, Santorini, Mykonos and Argostoli, Greece.
Starting April 29, 2021, Norwegian Getaway will offer 10- and 11-day cruises to the Greek Isles and Italy from Civitavecchia, with stops at Kotor, Dubrovnik, Corfu, Santorini, Mykonos, Piraeus (Athens), Naples and Livorno.
Returning to Europe on May 28, 2021, Norwegian Escape will offer nine-day cruises to the Baltic region from Copenhagen, with calls at Warnemünde, Germany; Tallinn, Estonia; Helsinki, Finland; Nynashamn (Stockholm), Sweden, and an overnight in St. Petersburg.
Asia and South Pacific
Beginning May 9, 2020 and opening for sale on May 1, 2019, Norwegian Spirit will sail a variety of port-intensive itineraries from Tokyo and Hong Kong. These 11- to 15-day itineraries will call at Shanghai and Beijing, the Japanese ports of Osaka, Okinawa, Shimizu (for Mount Fuji) and Sapporo, and Taiwain's Keelung (for Taipei).
In early 2020, as part of the company’s Norwegian Edge program, Norwegian Spirit will undergo an extensive revitalization including new venues, updated staterooms and public spaces.
Norwegian Jewel will sail a variety of French Polynesia, Hawaii and South Pacific cruises in spring 2020 and spring 2021. Opening for sale on April 17, 2019, these 11- to 21-day sailings from Sydney, Papeete (Tahiti), Honolulu and Vancouver visit destinations such as Bora Bora, Moorea, Raiatea and Nuku Hiva, French Polynesia; Lautoka, Suva, and Dravuni, Fiji; Noumea, Lifou and Ille des Pins, New Caledonia; Mystery Island, Espiritu Santo and Port Vila, Vanuatu; and the Big Island (Hilo and Kailua-Kona), Maui (Kahului), Kauai (Nawiliwili), and Oahu (Honolulu), Hawaii.
