Sister brand Regent Seven Seas Cruises is also moving from Canyon Ranch to create Serene Spa & Wellness, a new brand with OneSpa World.
Going fleetwide this winter
The Aquamar concept will be introduced across all of Oceania’s six ships this winter. It will offer a complete and original collection of holistic wellness experiences on board and ashore.
‘Our guests love balance. They’re active, they’re leading rich and fulfilled lives. For them, wellness is not a pursuit, it’s a lifestyle,’ Oceania Cruises President and CEO Bob Binder said.
Besides treatments in the Aquamar Spa + Vitality Center, the ships will offer Aquamar Vitality Cuisine and Wellness Discovery Tours by Aquamar.
When it comes to treatments, one example is the Himalayan salt stone massage, where warm salt stones are bathed in personally selected aromatics to alleviate muscle tension. Dysport wrinkle treatments will be available to soften fine lines. An acupuncturist will be available, too.
From Cadiz, travelers can visit a beekeeping farm in the Andalusian countryside to learn about apitherapy, which focuses on the reputed benefits of honeybee products such as raw honey, pollen, royal jelly and bee venom.
While cruising Bangkok’s Chao Phraya River on a historical, wooden rice barge, participants will be treated by a traditional reflexologist to reduce foot pain. A wellness and mindfulness session at the boutique Chilean winery Viña Casa Marin pairs yoga, pranayama breathing and mindful meditation with a gourmet luncheon.
Aquamar Vitality Cuisine
Healthy and flavorful Aquamar Vitality Cuisine will be offered in The Grand Dining Room in addition to extensive plant-based and vegetarian dishes. Freshly pressed juices, smoothies and energy bowls will also be served at the only cold-pressed Raw Juice & Smoothie Bars at sea.
Complimentary fitness classes include yoga, Pilates, cycling and circuit-based training, with the option to engage a personal trainer.
