Peter Shanks joins Imagine Cruising

Peter Shanks has joined Imagine Cruising as development director. In this new role the former Cunard senior executive will support managing director Robin Deller at an crucial time in the company’s development and growth.

Imagine Cruising is one of the UK’s fastest growing luxury holiday companies offering cruise and stay holidays around the world working closely with leading cruise lines.

Shanks brings a mix of experience ideally suited to Imagine Cruising having spent the last 12 years with Carnival UK in a number of senior roles across Princess Cruises, Ocean Village and latterly as president and managing director Cunard Line. Prior to that, he worked in travel retailing as managing director distribution First Choice, managing director Going Places and commercial director Thomas Cook.

In his role Shanks will focus on business development, international expansion and media relations both in the UK and South Africa.

He will also use his considerable experience in the cruise industry to embrace Imagine’s existing customers and build the awareness of Imagine Cruising through the media and amongst both loyal and first time cruisers.
