The group currently includes Cruise & Maritime Voyages and TransOcean Kreuzfahrten, as well as tour operations and wholesale, retail and corporate travel services. Stratton will initially be responsible for all non-cruise related business activities and expanding its range of travel services, including potential acquisitions and international growth.
Stratton, who bought Simpson Recruitment, the executive recruitment specialist, in January 2000, previously held positions including marketing and sales director for P&O Ferries and Eurotunnel. Whilst at P&O, Stratton also chaired the Ferry Section of the Passenger Shipping Association for a number of years.
During the past fifteen years, Stratton has also been involved with numerous consulting projects, assisting with growth and business strategies for travel and non-travel companies, including mergers and acquisitions.
He will continue as a director of Simpson Recruitment.
