Piano Land to begin sailing from Xiamen this week

Piano Land
Piano Land formerly sailed as Oriana for P&O Cruises
Piano Land, the first ship owned by China’s Twinkle Travel Cruise, has arrived at Xiamen and is scheduled to depart on its maiden voyage Friday.

The 69,153gt ship, built in 1995 as Oriana for P&O Cruises, has capacity for 1,870 passengers and 760 crew.

Piano Land will be homeported at Xiamen and sail to Northeast Asia.

This is good for Xiamen’s cruise market development, according to Chen Zhiping, chairman of Xiamen Port Group, who said the city will strengthen its cooperation with industry players and build a cruise supply chain.

CTS-COSCO joint venture

Twinkle Travel Cruise is a joint venture between China Travel Service and China COSCO Shipping Corp Ltd. The company is making Xiamen its operational headquarters and will seek opportunities to further expand its fleet.
