Pacific Pearl at anchor off Mooloolaba on Queensland's Sunshine Coast
P&O Cruises Australia’s resident 1,800-passenger Pacific Pearl made her maiden visit to Mooloolaba on Saturday almost a year after the first attempt.

As reported at the time, Pacific Pearl was due to make a ‘destination test drive’ to Mooloolaba on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, 97km north of Brisbane, on August 14 last year.

However, the call was cancelled due to severe weather.

On Saturday the ship anchored off Point Cartwright and passengers were transferred by tenders to the Underwater World Sea Life Aquarium jetty at Mooloolaba.

Passengers enjoyed day trips to the seaside resort of Noosa and the Eumundi artisan markets and paddle boarding along the coast.

Pacific Pearl is scheduled to return to Mooloolaba again on August 21 and October 6.
