Princess Cruises has continued its tradition of inviting underprivileged children onboard its Singapor-based ship to mark the beginning of the homeporting season.

Over local 60 children as well as their family members visited Sapphire Princess for a day and enjoyed a ship tour specially organised by the ship’s youth staff.

This initiative is part of Princess Cruises’ corporate social responsibility programme in Singapore, designed to extend goodwill to the local community.

‘We have celebrated the launch of our homeporting seasons in Singapore each year with a children’s event onboard and we are continuing this practice by treating the children to a day of food, games and entertainment onboard. It is truly heartening to see the smiling faces of the children,’ said Farriek Tawfik, director of Southeast Asia, Princess Cruises.

Captain Paolo Ravera made time to meet the children and their families and chatted with them before posing for group photos.

The Sapphire Princess has begun its five-month homeport season in Singapore.
