Regal Princess underwent five days of sea trials
Regal Princess completed a successful five days of sea trials, according to Princess Cruises. The ship set out from the construction dock at Fincantieri's Monfalcone yard for a series of maneuvers to test propulsion, steering and navigational equipment.

Regal Princess has now returned to the yard for further exterior and interior finishing before its scheduled May 20 debut.

The maiden voyage from Venice is a seven-day Mediterranean cruise to Athens including stops at Corfu, Mykonos and an overnight call in Istanbul. Throughout the summer, Regal Princess will sail on Princess’ signature 'Grand Mediterranean' cruises, with two itinerary choices.

Regal Princess is the sister of 2013's Royal Princess.

Features include a soaring atrium filled with restaurants, bars and lounges, the over-water, glass-bottom SeaWalk, plush private poolside cabanas, the Princess Live! television studio, a dedicated pastry shop and Chef’s Table Lumiere, a private dining experience that surrounds diners in a curtain of light.

All outside staterooms have balconies.
