Registration opens for Cruise Canada/New England Symposium in Bar Harbor

Online registration has opened for the 2015 Cruise Canada/New England Symposium, June 7-9 in Bar Harbor, Maine.

The event will include panel sessions with industry leaders, excursions in and around Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, a harbor tour and a Maine lobster bake, and a networking session for Cruise Canada/New England Alliance port members, cruise line representatives and media.

'We look forward to discussing emerging trends and looking at the contemporary evolution of the product. We have to have an experience on land that is comparable to what they're selling on board, and we have to make sure we're developing a sustainable product,' said Amy Powers, director of CruiseMaineUSA.

Among the top cruise executives confirmed to attend and take part in the Presidents Panel are Adam Goldstein, president and chief operating officer of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., Charles Robertson, chairman of American Cruise Lines and Pearl Seas Cruises; and Charlie Ball, evp land operations & customer service for the Holland America Group, including Holland America Line, Princess Cruises and Seabourn.

Other panels will give an update on regulatory issues affecting the region, sustainable development and emerging trends in Canada/New England including sales and marketing initiatives, shore excursion development and ship deployment.

Cruise Canada/New England Alliance members/symposium presenting partners are CruiseMaineUSA, Cruise Atlantic Canada, Cruise the Saint Lawrence, Cruiseport Boston and NYCruise.

A block of rooms is available at the ocean-front Harborside Hotel, Spa & Marina in downtown Bar Harbor.
