Ritz-Carlton firms order for a second yacht at HJ Barreras

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has firmed the order for a second yacht at Astillero Hijos de J. Barreras (HJB) in Vigo, Spain. The keel-laying is scheduled to take place this year, with delivery in 2021.

'A true sister ship'

'This custom-built yacht will be a true sister ship and follow the same design and styling as the first yacht,' said Douglas Prothero, CEO of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection.

First yacht on track for 2019 delivery

Prothero also confirmed the first yacht is set to be delivered later this year, with its inaugural voyage scheduled for February 2020.

'We are incredibly excited to grow The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection and look forward to continuing our partnership with H.J. Barreras Shipyard and the Galicia region,' he added.

The order was announced at an HJB media event Thursday morning.
