Royal Caribbean's Fain leads search for new UM president
With University of Miami president Donna Shalala planning to step down in summer 2015, a presidential search committee has been appointed that is chaired by Richard Fain, chairman and ceo of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.

The search committee was announced by Stuart Miller, chair of the University of Miami Board of Trustees, UM law school alumnus and ceo of Lennar Corp.

Shalala announced her intention to step after leading UM for 14 years. She plans to return to the faculty as a professor of political science and health policty.
