Seabourn's first expedition newbuild is called Venture

Seabourn Venture
Seabourn Venture is being built to Polar Class 6 standard
Seabourn is calling its first purpose-built expedition ship Seabourn Venture in a nod to the far-flung destinations planned and the Ventures by Seabourn excursion program.

Seabourn began offering expedition experiences during its first sailing to Antarctica in 2013. The success of the Antarctica program opened the door for similar experiences under the name Ventures by Seabourn, featuring Zodiacs, kayaks and guided hikes in destinations such as Alaska, Australia/New Zealand, South America, Norway and Greenland.

June 2021 debut

Seabourn Venture is scheduled to launch in June 2021, with a second, to-be-named sister ship scheduled for May 2022. Both are designed to Polar Class 6 standard and are being built by T. Mariotti.

Two custom-built submarines, kayaks and 24 Zodiacs that can accommodate everyone on board at once are features of the 264-passenger vessels.

Interior renderings and itineraries to come

More details and full-color renderings of interior spaces will be released in the months ahead.

Itineraries are to be announced this spring. Seabourn Venture is currently planned to sail in the Arctic in late summer 2021, with a full season in Antarctica to follow.
