SkySea’s Helen Xu promoted to svp sales and marketing

SkySea Cruise Line promoted Helene Xu to svp, sales and marketing reporting to Ken Muskat, ceo.

Since joining SkySea as vp marketing in July, Xu has been responsible for brand marketing, marketing strategy and public relations and also contributed to the brand’s development strategies for mainland China and Asia Pacific cruise markets.

She has over 18 years of experience in high-level business management. Before joining SkySea, she served as vp marketing of Wyndham Hotel Group Greater China, and served as marketing director for Costa Cruises for over seven years.

‘Helene has rich experience in the cruise industry and is one of the earliest cruise management talents in China who has led the market to tremendous growth over the years. Her promotion further supports SkySea’s commitment to the multi-homeport strategy in 2018 and our goal to further align SkySea’s shoreside sales and marketing teams to execute this strategy with success in the coming year,’ said Muskat.

Xu is adding responsibility for the sales organization in addition to leading the marketing organization. Frank Yan will continue leading the field sales and sales operations teams as vp of sales, now reporting to Xu.

The organizational change is providing greater support to charter partners, MICE groups and travel agents while increasing on-board revenue and establishing greater brand awareness, Muskat said.
