St. Maarten's convention center for FCCA event is 'well under way'
Construction of a temporary convention center at the Port of St. Maarten to house the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association Conference & Trade Show in October is reported to be 'well under way.'

According to St. Maarten's Soualiga News Today, tourism and port officials who toured the site are pleased with the plans and the progress.

Four buildings that will comprise the temporary convention center are going up on harbor property that was used for container storage. All conference sessions, workshops, the trade show and one of the nighttime social events will take place at the facility, which is close to Philipsburg's cruise berths at Point Blanche.
