Update quashes speculation that the topic of Monday's news is China-related. Carnival Corp. & plc has alerted the media to an announcement planned for Nov. 17.

While there had been speculation that the announcement concerns China, that is not the case, a Carnival spokesman told Seatrade Insider.

CEO Arnold Donald has scheduled a call with reporters Monday afternoon to discuss the Monday morning news.
