In this expanded role, he'll assume responsibility for driving revenue performance in support of all global travel partners for both Uniworld and U River Cruises. Anderson joined the company in 2016 as SVP sales and reports directly to CEO Ellen Bettridge.
'Kristian has been instrumental in the evolution of our sales strategy, enhancing our trade partnerships, improving organizational strength and delivering record results,' Bettridge said. 'This move allows us to optimize our sales effectiveness and improve efficiencies as we continue to elevate the Uniworld and U River Cruises brands in 2020 and beyond.'
Three decades in travel
A 30-year travel industry veteran, Anderson was SVP and general manager for the Americas at Silversea Cruises prior to joining Uniworld. He has served as chairman of the Trade Relations Committee for Cruise Line International Association since 2018.
'We have a very exciting season ahead with the launch of four new Uniworld Super Ships and newly added U itineraries, and I look forward to continuing to work with our valued travel advisor partners to help sell our brands. We couldn’t do it without them,' Anderson said.
