Since entering into a strategic partnership with Bellevue, Washington-based Global Voyages Group in 2014, both parties have worked together to stabilize Voyages to Antiquity’s North America presence and establish a strong foundation for the brand.
The company said the reestablishment of the Fort Lauderdale headquarters is a testament to the success of that partnership.
'As Voyages to Antiquity enters the next phase of our development within North America, I must extend our sincere thanks to Global Voyages Group and our valued trade partners for their continued support,' said Jos Dewing, md of Voyages to Antiquity.
With this management shift, all reservations, sales and marketing efforts will now be handled by the dedicated staff of the Fort Lauderdale office.
Global Voyages Group had handled marketing, sales and reservations support for Voyages to Antiquity since June 2014, when the Fort Lauderdale office was downsized.
A company spokeswoman said Global Voyages Group will continue to sell Voyages to Antiquity in an agency capacity. With 'the unique knowledge they’ve learned through working with the product so closely,' she added, Global Voyages Group is expected to continue to be 'a valued agency asset.'
Dewing now oversees marketing as the company aligns its marketing goals on a global scale.
Since operations are handled by the UK, Fort Lauderdale-based guest services director Andrea Corman is expected to focus more on North America sales and service going forward, with further details to come.
