Australia’s new Platinum Cruise Club by Cruiseco

Cinzia Burnes said the new Platinum Cruise Club, like the original Cruiseco, is invitation-only
Helloworld Travel, which bought Cruiseco, the leading consortium of Australia’s cruise specialists in 2020, launched a Platinum Cruise Club with founding members Phil Hoffmann Travel, Hunter Travel Group and Clean Cruising.

‘It’s back to the future and reinforces our commitment to the cruise sector,’ Helloworld Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director Cinzia Burnes told Seatrade Cruise News.

‘We bought the company during the COVID-19 pandemic when cruise ships were going nowhere, but we knew it was the right timing,’ Burnes said.

Cruiseco was founded by Adelaide-based Phil Hoffmann and Melbourne-based Kevin Dale in 2000 as ‘a highly personalised service for select agencies.’

It did not actively recruit and only admitted serious cruise sellers.

Invitation-only

The new exclusive, by invitation-only Platinum Cruise Club will extend membership to like-minded, cruise-focused agents.

It plans to curate exclusive cruise and land packages, secure group allocations and promote ad-hoc offers presented by cruise line partners.
