David Vaeafe vacates SPTO and SPCA
Halatoa Fua, CEO of the Cook Islands Tourism Cooperation, replaced David Vaeafe, ex-American Samoa Visitors Bureau, as interim chairman of the South Pacific Tourism Organisation on May 1.
Gilroy became interim chairman of the South Pacific Cruise Alliance where Vaeafe was president and chairman.
Seatrade Cruise Global
South Pacific Cruise Alliance members — American Samoa, Cook Islands, Fiji, French Polynesia, Guam, Pitcairn, Samoa, Tonga and Wallis and Futuna — showcase their region at the annual Seatrade Cruise Global.
Forum postponed
Gilroy is also president of the Tahiti Cruise Club which, as reported, postponed plans for a second South Pacific Cruise Forum this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
