Crystal Cruises plans to open its US office in Aventura, Florida, a growing city in northeast Miami-Dade County.

According to a real estate news report, Crystal Cruises signed for a 15,206-square-foot space on the 15th floor of the 28-story Optima Onyx Tower, part of the Optima office campus.

It is a newly completed, Class A building located at 1010 S. Federal Highway.

Location draws from Miami-Dade and Broward

In a statement published by the Commercial Observer, Crystal President Jack Anderson said the company was seeking a central location that could draw from the talent pool in both Miami-Dade and Broward counties.

High-speed rail coming to Aventura

The news comes as Brightline, the high-speed rail service, opens new stations at Boca Raton and Aventura. Brightline’s initial schedule for each station will focus on peak morning and evening commuter service during weekdays. During non-peak hours and weekends, it will provide northbound and southbound service approximately every other hour.

Brightline hopes to expand service along a network stretching from Miami to Orlando to Tampa Bay by 2028.

Anderson did not respond to a request for comment on Thursday.

Earlier this week, Seatrade Cruise News reported new Crystal executive appointments including one to be based at the Adventura office.
