Princess Tiana, Prince Naveen and members of the traditional New Orleans Treme Brass Band send off Disney Wonder
Disney Cruise Line inaugurated its first departure and homeport program from the Port of New Orleans.

For Disney Wonder’s first sailing from the Crescent City on Feb. 7,  the ship was sent off by Princess Tiana, Prince Naveen and members of the traditional New Orleans Treme Brass Band.

Limited engagement

This cruise that has just commenced begins a limited-engagement season from New Orleans. Disney Cruise Line will be returning in early 2021. These voyages visit the Bahamas, including private island Castaway Cay, and Caribbean ports.

New Orleans touches on board

Aboard Disney Wonder, New Orleans dining and entertainment are highlighted at the recently added Tiana’s Place restaurant with a menu inspired by the flavors and ingredients of the Louisiana bayou.

At the newly installed French Quarter Lounge, passengers can hear live jazz, sip a New Orleans-themed specialty drink and dance the night away. During the day, the lounge hosts family activities, trivia, workshops, crafts and music.
