Eased UK rules give Virgin 70% bookings bump as Valiant debut nears

Virgin Voyages reported a 70% increase in bookings since December.

The company is now turning its focus to Valiant Lady's Europe introduction in the spring. The ship was delivered last July but its entry into service was postponed until March.

Tilbury and Liverpool showcases before Portsmouth

Come March, Valiant Lady will call at London Tilbury and Liverpool ahead of its maiden voyage from Portsmouth heading to summer homeport Barcelona in May.

Lifting of UK travel restrictions

'The lifting of UK travel restrictions has already shown promising signs with 70% uplift in bookings since December, and we can’t wait to welcome sailors onboard,' said Tom McAlpin, CEO of Virgin Voyages.

As earlier reported, the new ships' cabins recently were burnished to bring a warmer energy, more sophisticated feel and additional storage.
