Fincantieri is suspending production at its shipyards from March 16-29.

Intent to comply with contractual deadlines

With this temporary action, the world's leading cruise shipbuilder also sought to assure customers that deliveries will comply with contractual deadlines.

The move is in line with the Italian government's coronavirus emergency measures and to protect the health of personnel and subcontractors. It also respects trade union requests.

Committed to restart 'at full power'

Once the situation is normalized, production will restart 'at full power in order to protect the future of our company and of our country, without resulting in an economic loss for the workers,' Fincantieri said Friday.
