2 for 1 deals in CMV’s 2020-21 Australian season

The itineraries for Vasco da Gama’s second season based in Adelaide and Fremantle were released on Thursday and cover all corners of Australia.

CMV’s maiden call at Geelong

The 1,200-passenger ship’s new ports of call include Darwin in the Northern Territory, and Port Arthur in southern Tasmania. She will also make the company’s maiden call at Geelong in Victoria, the venue for this year’s Australian Cruise Association’s annual conference in September.

She will also return to out-of-the way ports like Wallaroo on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia and Esperance in Western Australia.

‘Since Cruise & Maritime Voyages arrived in the Australian market, we have seen a lot of interest in domestic cruising from travellers and agents alike,’ national sales manager Darren Chigwidden said.

CMV’s generous commissions

‘Many of our agent partners have had great success developing affordable holiday packages for clients using our cruises to reach sought-after destinations, like Broome and the Kimberley and, with CMV’s generous commissions, agents have a great opportunity to earn,’ Chigwidden said.

The 2 for 1 voyages include a 14-night sailing along the north west coast of Australia from Fremantle to Singapore, visiting Geraldton, Broome, Darwin, Bali and Java en route.

Also included are a 10-night round Christmas cruise from Adelaide, visiting Geelong, Port Arthur, Hobart and Burnie, and a cruise from Sydney to Adelaide via Melbourne.

‘We have a high number of repeat guests, so we want to ensure that we are providing them with new, diverse destinations and varied itineraries each season within Australia and also across Asia,’ MD Australia Dean Brazier said.

Short breaks

‘Some of our voyages within Australia are just two nights long, so travellers may not even need to take a day off work in order to take a relaxing cruise and experience the wonderful facilities aboard Vasco da Gama,’ Brazier said.
