The first Crystal Diamond-class ship is scheduled to arrive in 2022
London-based AD Associates is leading the initial planning, feasibility studies and concept design for Crystal Cruises' next-generation Diamond-class ships.

The first 67,000gt vessel is expected to join the fleet in 2022. It will have design elements and amenities in line with Crystal's ocean, river and expedition yachts.

Brand's first oceangoing newbuild since 2003

The Diamond-class ship will be the first oceangoing newbuild for Crystal since Crystal Serenity in 2003.

AD Associates said its long-standing relationship with the luxury line, stretching across both newbuilds and refurbishments, positioned it for the job, which also entails close work with Crystal parent Genting Hong Kong and MV Werften in Stralsund, Germany.

Recent Crystal Symphony and Serenity updates

The design firm has been involved with Crystal's river and expedition yachts, along with the reimagining and refurbishments of Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity.

'As always, we are committed to ensuring we provide an unparalleled service to our clients and we are honored to have been selected to design again for Crystal Cruises,' AD CEO Chris Finch said.
