Alaska, more Turkey, exotics in Oceania’s 2021 Europe, N. America

Sirena will operate an 'Exotic Collection' of sailings

Oceania Cruises opened sales for its new 2021 Europe and North America voyages, with more overnights in port and 15 new destinations.

The new ports provide access to treasures like the the dramatic fjord of Eskifjodur, Iceland; the UNESCO-protected town Alberobello from Monopoli, Italy; and the gourmet pintxo bars of San Sebastián in Spain’s Basque country.

Turkey turnarounds and overnights

Turkey is resurging, with 13 voyages that begin or end in Istanbul, 12 overnights in Istanbul and calls at Antalya, Bodrum, Kusadasi (for Ephesus), Dikili (for Pergamum) and the new port of Bozcaada (for Troy).

Oceania Cruises continues its multi-year run in Alaska with adventures such as a sailing along a glacier-dotted bay in Kenai Fjords National Park from Seward, a personalized fishing and culinary expedition from Ketchikan and a remote glacier trek via helicopter from Juneau.

Sirena’s far-flung program

The new ‘Sirena Exotic Collection’ features in-depth explorations of Egypt, Israel and Turkey as well as the Arabian Peninsula, India, Myanmar and Indonesia.

Excursion choices

Besides the ‘Oceania Exclusive’ and ‘Oceania Select’ mainstream excursions, trademark ‘Culinary Discovery Tours’ and ‘Food & Wine Trails’ the line offers ‘Wellness Tours,’ which are available across six continents, and a new ‘Go Local’ series.

With the OceaniaNEXT initiative the line has transformed its four 684-passenger vessels from stem to stern while updating and adding new features to its 1,250-passenger Marina and Riviera. All the accommodations on Regatta, Insignia, Nautica and Sirena are gained luxurious touches like marble, granite and European fabrics. A lighter color palette graces the public spaces, accented with crisp white millwork, Italian glass chandeliers, bespoke glass artwork and verre églomisé walls.

On Marina and Riviera, a new lounge and coffee bar crowns the ships while rich fabrics and carpeting in stylish tones of caramel, ivory and espresso complement the suites and staterooms. The three Owner’s Suites are furnished exclusively from the Ralph Lauren Home Collection.

‘OLife Choice’ package

Travelers who book early receive the best fares and promotional amenities on these new voyages. A highlight is the $149 premium economy air upgrade on select European voyages along with the value-packed ‘OLife Choice’ promotion which includes round-trip air and a choice of free excursions, a beverage package or shipboard credit. These capacity-controlled offers will expire no later than March 31, 2020.
