Debuting tonight, the first season of 'Places to Love' will air on public television, nationwide in the US, with 13 weekly episodes. A second season will follow. The show explores some of the most vibrant destinations around the globe and showcases the unexpected personalities that bring these places to life.
'We have long admired Samantha for her warm, engaging personality and we were excited to see the creative vision she is demonstrating in her new series that highlights the importance of culturally immersive travel experiences which is something that matches our own philosophy to river cruising,' said Kristin Karst, EVP and co-owner of AmaWaterways.
The partnership comes on the heels of several recent announcements from AmaWaterways. The company will debut three news ships in 2019, including AmaMagna, twice the width of traditional river cruise vessels but carrying only 20% more passengers.
Also, AmaWaterways will be expanding its current range of hiking and biking tours and debuting its wellness program on six riverboats in 2018 with plans to have wellness hosts on all 23 ships in 2019.
