The Beach Club at Bimini will sport areas of high energy and quiet spots for relaxation and introspection RENDERING: Virgin Voyages
In conjunction with sales opening today, Virgin Voyages revealed every cruise will feature The Beach Club, a Virgin experience in Bimini, Bahamas.

There, sailors can have an epic beach day and explore the island flavor and culture of Bimini.

Rivaling Ibiza and Saint-Tropez

The Beach Club at Bimini will be a cornerstone of every voyage. Sailors (passengers) will be able to feel the sand in their toes in a stylish setting with white sand and crystal clear waters and programming that Virgin said will rival the best beach clubs in Ibiza and Saint-Tropez.

Built with Resorts World Bimini

A short transfer from the pier, and built in partnership with Resorts World Bimini, The Beach Club at Bimini is designed with Miami-based architects EOA, Inc. featuring natural materials and soft earth tones that organically blend into the seascape. The Beach Club will overlook the ocean and cascade down to the sea with an expansive, lagoon-style pool as the centerpiece.

Retox and detox

In the spirit of Vitamin Sea, the brand’s ethos of well-being, there will be moments of retox and detox throughout the day. Sailors will find areas of high energy and quiet spots for relaxation and introspection. Mornings at The Beach Club will begin with yoga and meditation. The energy will gradually be amplified as the day progresses and turned back down as dusk settles in. Sailors will reach the high point of the day by the afternoon where DJ-led pool and 'floatilla' parties will be center of the action. The night’s energy will wind down with a beach bonfire to close the evening with an acoustic musical performance.

The British-born, Grammy-Award-winning artist and producer Mark Ronson was named the founding DJ of The Beach Club resident-sea program. (And Ronson is performing at tonight's big Virgin Voyages sales launch party in New York.)

Cabana rentals

The Beach Club at Bimini will also have complimentary food that is thoughtfully sourced. Locally inspired menus will serve island favorites like conch and mango salad, banana leaf-wrapped queen snapper, Bahamian rum cake and more. As sailors explore the club they will discover creative social spaces with hammock groves and six bars. Those looking for a home base for the day can use one of the many beach loungers or opt for a more private place to cuddle up with both beach side and poolside cabanas available for rent. Active areas for watersports and beach play will be available, too.

RockStar Suites sailors will have their exclusive slice of paradise at The Beach Club at Bimini, with a dedicated bar, complimentary food service, an outdoor terrace lounge, sun loungers and beach cabanas.

Sailors looking to explore Bimini will have ample opportunities. The island is a beach-lovers' paradise with welcoming and warm residents. It was a favorite of Ernest Hemingway, who described it as 'like the end of the world.' The seven-mile island offers sea experiences such as boating, snorkeling and wreck diving with the SS Sapona just a few miles off the coast.

Scarlet Lady's inaugural season voyages, departing from April 1 through Oct. 25, 2020, are now on sale.

Earlier, Virgin announced 'Havana After Dark' four- and five-night itineraries, five-night 'Mayan Sol' sailings to Costa Maya, Mexico, and five-night 'Dominican Daze' cruises to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, where a new port is being developed.

Inclusive pricing

Virgin promises a 'cheeky and cheerful' approach to service, and an inclusive approach to sea travel without 'pesky add-ons.' Included are food at the more than 20 eateries on board, group fitness classes, gratuities, service charges, Wi-Fi and basic beverages like soda, teas, drip coffee and still and sparkling water.
